  • January 2017 – I was a panelist at the first Navigating the Challenges of Graduate School for Women workshop. I talked about my experiences as an international student and as a female graduate student
  • October 2016 – I presented initial findings from my research with black mothers living in the UK at the MIRCI 20th anniversary gala conference in Toronto
  • March 2016 – I presented an early draft of my analysis of how attachment parenting appears in British health policies at the Eastern Sociological Society’s annual meeting in Boston
  • March 2016 – I gave a short guest lecture on my experiences in the field to the Feminist Methodologies graduate class at Western
  • June 2015 – I presented an analysis of the NOSH scheme, a pilot initiative to encourage breastfeeding by rewarding mothers with shopping vouchers at the Austerity, Gender and Household Finances conference at the University of Kent, UK
  • June 2015 – I presented work from my Master’s thesis which examined black mothers’ views of lactivism or pro-breastfeeding activism at the Motherhood & Culture conference at Maynooth University, Ireland
  • April 2015 – I was invited to give a presentation at the graduate student panel of the Women’s Studies and Feminist Research annual conference
  • March 2014 – I gave a co-lecture on queer and postmodern feminism to the Introduction to Women’s Studies class at Western
  • June 2013 – I contributed chapters to a literature review of gender and the extractive industry. This review was developed to aid the launch of WoMin, an organisation that conducts research on and supports the work of women in mining-impacted communities
  • May 2013 – I gave a guest lecture on gender politics in Moon (2009) to the first-year Electrical Engineering class at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa
